Part of the North East Health Services Alliance (NEHSA), Health Sciences North (HSN) in Canada is a network of integrated facilities and programs working together for the benefit of their patients, staff and communities. Crucial in the partnership is an integrated and seamless delivery of medical imaging services throughout the region, as an enabler to realize the opportunities for sharing resources, economies of scale and cost savings.
Late last year HSN decided on a new implementation of Enterprise Imaging at 8 NEHSA organizations, 15 sites in total. Despite the COVID-19 travel restriction the project was kicked off and put on a fast project delivery track.
With a team of experts of both Agfa and HSN working together closely, the first sites went live successfully end of July. From the beginning of the project full focus was on a detailed knowledge transfer to the super users in all sites. And HSN has fully embraced the train-the-trainer approach, This will now be the basis for the further roll-out of the other NEHSA sites over the next weeks.
