Backed by Agfa HealthCare’s long-standing commitment to data protection, the unified Enterprise Imaging platform helps you keep sensitive data secure.

Cybersecurity is a high stakes issue in the healthcare sector, where protecting patient data is non-negotiable.

Yet, as new security threats arise, the goalpost for keeping your data and systems secure constantly moves. Agfa HealthCare and the Enterprise Imaging platform support your security goals, helping you to improve both data management and security, without increasing your investment in time, people, or infrastructure.

Cybersecurity is a high stakes issue

Fewer systems, less risk

All the hardware servers for your Enterprise Imaging VNA, XERO Viewer web servers and Enterprise Imaging database can be deployed off-premise on a cloud service. By connecting your on-premise PACS to the cloud VNA, your storage needs are taken care of for you.

The XERO Viewer makes sure your imaging data can be accessed and shared across the enterprise, enhancing collaboration. And even if your on-premise PACS goes down, all the images in the cloud remain accessible through XERO. So there’s no delay for patient care.

Designed for security

Enterprise Imaging has been designed to meet the most up-to-date data security requirements of the healthcare industry. Advanced data and storage encryption, based on both SSL and TLS, prevent data integrity issues and data theft, and protect sensitive information.

Role-based access control keeps you in the driver seat, and helps you manage risk expectations at all levels. And programs for bridge notifications further reduce vulnerabilities and security risks, while protecting the integrity and availability of the DICOM data.

Vulnerability Management

To help protect patient safety and privacy, Agfa HealthCare’s security patch management policy keeps the confidentiality, integrity and/or availability risks introduced by security vulnerabilities under control.

All Enterprise Imaging systems are hardened using Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) from the Centre for Internet Security (CIS) and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). They are scanned using both the Department of Defense SCAP Compliance Checker and NESSUS, at both the operating system and application level, before being delivered to the customer.

Role-based security: RBAC

Authorization in Enterprise Imaging is based on Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), or “role-based security”, which assigns permissions according to the user’s role within the organization.

This fine-grained control is less error-prone than individually assigning permissions.
