Welcome to Dr Nick Spencer!
Supporting the investment into enhancing our suite of software solutions, Agfa HealthCare IT UK Limited continues to demonstrate commitment to growth by appointing a further recruit to our busy UK team.
We are delighted to announce the on-boarding of Dr Nick Spencer as Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) for our Northern Europe operation. The healthcare community will already be familiar with Dr Spencer as a Consultant Radiologist and Associate Medical Director at the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, and his close partnership with the healthcare sector industry. Dr Spencer will continue with his NHS roles, whilst delivering clinical leadership to Agfa HealthCare.
Dr Spencer boasts an impressive professional background. He is an experienced clinician with a firm grasp on working in multi-professional and diverse teams. With 26 years of clinical experience, he has played a pivotal role in the development and delivery of multi-site NHS radiology projects and services, whilst practising his specialist areas of Head & Neck and MSK Radiology. In addition, Dr Spencer has significant leadership experience, particularly in relation to Cancer and IT services at both his trust and within the Yorkshire region. Having previously served the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) as an elected member on its Service Review Committee and Radiology Faculty Board, he managed a multi-agency project review of NHS CT, helping build an extensive network of senior clinical and professional colleagues across the UK. More recently, Dr Spencer worked as Clinical Lead for the Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative (YIC), an early adopter of the regionalised imaging network approach. This enhanced delivery of integrated care services and was facilitated by Agfa HealthCare’s Enterprise Imaging platform.
