Excited to share the update: Clinica Alemana, the second most important hospital system in Latin America is transitioning to centralized image management with Enterprise Imaging. Update in Spanish (english version below).
Líder en diagnóstico y tratamiento en diferentes especialidades de medicina y salud, Clínica Alemana, acreditada por la Joint Commission International es la segunda clínica más importante de Latino América según la consultora América Economía Intelligence.
Clínica Alemana y Agfa Healthcare tienen una exitosa relación por más de 15 años a partir de la implementación del sistema IMPAX RIS/PACS en sus sedes ubicadas en las ciudades de Santiago, Temuco y Valdivia. A lo largo de este proyecto se llevaron a cabo diversas iniciativas pioneras en la gestión de imágenes médicas en el país y en la región, tales como Teleradiología, publicación de exámenes a través de internet, integración de información de dosis, entre otros.
En septiembre de este año, iniciamos con orgullo una una nueva etapa con el Kick-Off del proyecto de transición a la solución Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging. Esto considera el reemplazo total de la solución IMPAX RIS/PACS utilizada actualmente en todas las sedes de Clínica Alemana, permitiendo establecer una estrategia de gestión de imágenes centralizadas, junto con funcionalidades avanzadas como son Peer Learning, gestión de dosis e integraciones avanzadas a través de FHIR con esta solución.
Adicionalmente y de manera estratégica, el proyecto traspasa las barreras de Radiología, incluyendo la gestión del departamento de Cardiología, fundando las bases para una expansión futura con nuestra solución Enterprise Imaging en el resto de los departamentos que manejan imágenes en Clínica Alemana.

Leader in diagnosis and treatment in different medical specialties, Clínica Alemana, accredited by the International Joint Commission, is the second most important clinic in Latin America according to the consulting firm American Economic Intelligence.
Clínica Alemana and Agfa Healthcare have had a successful relationship for more than 15 years since the implementation of IMPAX RIS / PACS system in their clinics located in the cities of Santiago, Temuco and Valdivia. Throughout this project, different pioneering initiatives in medical image management were carried in the country and region, such as teleradiology, publication of exams through the Internet, integration of dose information, among others.
In September of this year, a new phase started with the Kick-Off of a new project for the transition to Agfa HealthCare Enterprise Imaging solution. This considers the total replacement of the IMPAX RIS / PACS solution currently used in Clínica Alemana de Santiago, Temuco and Valdivia, allowing to establish a new strategy of a centralized image management, together with advanced functionalities such as peer learning, dose management and advanced integrations through FHIR with this solution.
Additionally, and strategically the project crosses the barriers of Radiology, including the management of the Cardiology department, laying the foundations for future expansion with our Enterprise Imaging solution in the rest of the departments that handle images at Clínica Alemana.
