COVID-19 so far has affected 164 countries and territories around the world. The number of reported cases as of March 18th exceeds 200,000 and the number of deaths over 8,000.
As COVID-19 spreads globally, there is a growing interest relating to the role of diagnostic imaging, appropriateness of Chest X-rays and CT scans when it comes to screening, detection and follow up management. There are also initial reports that indicate some technology startups are evaluating their machine learning algorithms to detect COVID-19 specific findings leveraging Chest X-rays and CT scans.
